Redistricting Reform
Redistricting reform was passed by the voters of California
on November 4, 2008. The New Majority played a key role in the passage
of the Proposition, which insures district lines will
no longer be drawn by the Legislature, but instead
by the people of California.

Issue Focus: Alternative Energy
Energy is the single most important commodity. It powers
industry and transportation, which are essential to
our economy. Its abundant and uninterrupted flow maintains
our quality of life. If present trends continue, energy
demand will result in greater dependence on imported
energy. With the uncertainty about future oil supplies,
it is time for California and the Nation to seek alternative
forms of energy.
